While half the campus population is away - either enjoying a trip home or out discovering the world - the 100 or so students staying on campus, including myself, are also enjoying the very welcome break from midterm studying. The second-years have definitely not been lazy, but even as a first-year I have found the pace here to be unlike most I have experienced in the Swedish school system. Whether this is due to the IB curriculum, the numerous Extra Academic Activities (EACs) or just the lack of sleep is hard to say.
Apart from sleeping, prominent break activities include movie marathons, studying, trips to the civilization (read: Førde) and hiking. The picture below is from the trip to Jarstadheia, 600 metres above sea level, just behind the college.
